Sons of Anarchy: 'Come Join the Murder', la canción del final

Después de siete temporadas, Sons of Anarchy puso punto final a la epopeya de Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) con una desgarradora secuencia final de siete minutos, que estuvo acompañada por el conmovedor tema Come Join the Murder.

La balada fue musicalizada por The Forest Rangers, la banda de Sons of Anarchy, e interpretada por Jake Smith, también conocido como The White Buffalo. La letra del tema fue escrita por el mismo Kurt Sutter, creador de la serie, quien a su vez encarnó a Otto Delaney.

“Como fan de la serie, fue un honor colaborar con Kurt y Bob en esto”, dijo Smith a la revista Rolling Stone.

“La canción es conflictiva, inquietante y hermosa, al igual que la serie en sí. Espero que los aficionados la disfruten”, añadió.

El supervisor musical de Sons of Anarchy y líder de The Forest Rangers, Bob Thiele Jr., también habló con la revista sobre el reto agridulce de componer y grabar Come Join the Murder.

“El problema es que no debía estar demasiado anclada en la melancolía (…) Sabemos lo que va a pasar y es triste. Hay una rendición triunfal que Jax abraza en sus últimos momentos. En vez de quedarme en el tono menor del verso, he optado por enmarcar el coro en tono mayor para destacar la decisión de Jax de elegir su propio destino final”, comentó.
